CHILDREN IN ABUSIVE FAMILIES:

Children growing up or born into abusive families are mostly abused themselves. They are beaten or starved by the abuser just so as to drive home a point to their partner. Often children themselves end up being abusers themselves later on in life, having grown up in such an environment.

Effects of Abuse on Children include:

Serious health disorders, for example eating disorders, anorexia, sleeping disorders and attention deficiency disorders.
Mental instability often leading to confusion and depression.
Drug abuse, alcoholism and Self destructive behavior.

Abuse is a growing concern in the world. The only way that we can fight it is to stand up for ourselves and our basic rights as a human. Because abuse is a very serious violation of a basic human right – The right to freedom.

In conclusion, relationships are complicated. No matter how much people claim to understand relationships, no one really can understand them. The so called relationship experts all tell you what you already know. That everything is in your hands. If you know how to cultivate a good relationship, then you surely know how to survive the rest of it. As Fredrick Buechner said – You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you.
